To: Mr S Rajgopal: I was told by Association (Com Chandru) that a officer can only be permitted to retain quarter up 3 months if it is Bank's own quarter & not eligible to stay one day extra if it is leased accommodation. As I was staying in a leased accommodation, I was denied to stay one day extra. Our HO/HRM had also clarified the same when ZO sought permission/clarification. This is totally inhuman. The promotion policy for officers for merit channel is having a condition that the performance appraisal marks should be 75% or more. This condition is to be modified as the overall percentage of marks should be 75% or more for consideration. The present condition is like a student who scored only 74% marks in maths subject is not eligible to write other exams. Whether the student who is able to score only 74% marks in maths subject and more than 95% marks in all other subjects is not deserving to be appreciated or promoted. Even with the simple logic also we are not able to devise the promotion policy. Only the Association leaders who signed the policy should think of this and take necessary steps for modification in the policy immediately.
